the denver seminary library has three resources that deliver e-books - ebsco, overdrive, and digital theological library. they can be accessed on your computer or device as long as you are connected to the internet. most downloaded books are borrowed for one week. those in the digital theological library may be borrowed between one and twenty-one days.

Our E-books are currently supplied by two vendors, ebsco & overdrive. Our membership in the digital theological library (DTL) also provides access to E-Books in many of its databases. Each provider requires independent accounts and apps for them to function. Below is a list of accounts and apps you may need:
- adobe account
this account will allow you to install adobe digital editions which permits access to ebsco and overdrive epub and pdf formatted books.
- ebsco account
to download ebsco e-books, it is necessary to set up a free personal ebsco account. (note: for details regarding access to ebsco from off campus, please click here - remote access to electronic resources)
- overdrive account
no separate account is needed to access overdrive e-books. you will use your complete library barcode to create an account at checkout. however, an adobe account is needed to read adobe e-books and an amazon account is needed to download kindle books.
- adobe digital editions
adobe digital editions is a reader for epub and pdf formats. use it to view items on your desktop or laptop. if you use a mobile device, you'll need to install the overdrive media console (omc) to use with your adobe account. (omc is available for download for most devices).
- digital theological library
the digital theological library (dtl) provides access to over 15,000 high quality, current e-books in religious studies, including major series like the icc and hermenia commentaries. the dtl requires login using your library barcode.

digital theological library
the dtl provides access to over 15,000 high quality, current e-books in religious studies, more than 120 databases and over 11,000 journal titles (20,000,000 individual articles).
kindle e-readers
the denver seminary library has a limited number of kindle e-readers available for checkout. the kindle e-readers are preloaded with highly-circulated reserve materials. the individual kindles are available for checkout as 24 hr reserve items.
